Edible magnesium chloride is refined on the basis of magnesium chloride for industry use.
It is prominent that there are differences in the limit requirements of several core indicators. In terms of "sulfate" content, edible magnesium chloride requires the content less than or equal to 0.4%, and industrial grade magnesium chloride requires content less than or equal to 1% to 2.8%.
In terms of the content of "lead", edible magnesium chloride is required that to be less than or equal to 1mg/kg (milligrams per kilogram), and there is no requirement for industrial grade magnesium chloride.
In terms of the content of "arsenic", edible magnesium chloride requires that to be less than or equal to 0.5mg/kg, and there is no requirement for magnesium chloride for industry use.
In terms of the content of "ammonium", edible magnesium chloride is required that to be less than or equal to 50mg/kg, and there is no requirement for magnesium chloride for industry use.
Edible magnesium chloride can be used as a food additive in the production of soy products, while magnesium chloride for industry use can only be used in the industrial field, such as: for the production of other chemical products; as a floor tile; as materials for production of sanitary ware, snowmelting agent and agricultural fertilizer.
